Sometime back we reported some images of an Meizu borderless or edgeless smartphone similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix having surface to body ratio of close to 100%. Xiaomi has already launched its own almost borderless or bezelless Mi Mix smartphone with 6.4 inch display that covers 84.16% of the front body and if rumors are true, Meizu may manage to beat Xiaomi with a better one.
Today a new set of images of alleged Meizu Pro 7 with Borderless display are spotted (1,2) on Weibo. Apart from revealing other details, it also suggest the borderless phone from the company may be called as Meizu Pro 7. These images seem to be leaked from present slides (PPT) and reveal whole lot of information including some of the basic technical specifications such as screen size, Design & build, possible pricing and much more.
As per these leaked images, Meizu Pro 7 sports a 5.62 inch SUPER AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels which is quite odd, but considering that it comes with almost 100% surface to body ratio, the aspect ratio of 2:1 may be possible here leading to the odd resolution.
It also indicates that the phone is just 6.5 mm thin and comes with mCharge 4.0 which can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in just 40 minutes. It indicates two variants of 6 GB RAM with internal storage 64 GB / 128GB storage with a possible pricing of 2699 Yuan and 3099 Yuan respectively. It shows an odd 8 MP front camera unit at top of the device which we are not sure if its a concept or not. It is powered by Flyme 5.1 operating system and Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor appears to be integrated with the front display bottom.
The latest flagship from the company is Meizu Pro 6s, priced at 2699 Yuan. It sports a 5.2-inch full HD display powered by Helio X25 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It comes with 12 MP main rear camera and 5 MP front shooter. The device is backed by 3060 mAh battery.
Earlier rumors indicate that this borderless phone may launch on December 24. But as with any leak, take this leak with a handful of salt as we are still not sure if these images are real or not or if it is just a concept. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
