LG announced LG V20 in September as a flagship device in Korea. LG V20 comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD 1440p IPS Quantum primary display and a small secondary display (also an IPS Quantum) of 160 x 1040 resolution powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It features dual rear cameras of 16 MP with an f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, and another 8 MP wide-angle lens with an f/2.4 aperture along with accompanied by a dual LED flash.
The company has announced a compact variant of the device in Japan today and named it as LG V20 Pro. LG V20 Pro sports a “small screen” of 5.2 inch 2K IPS display and is powered by same Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Processor with 4 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage instead of 64 GB and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system.
The dual camera setup comes with same 16 MP camera + 8 MP dual camera at the back and 5 MP front shooter. It comes with a smaller battery of 2900 mAh instead of 3200 mAh. It also comes with IP67 protection. Thanks to smaller battery and a compact size of 5.2 inches, it weighs much less i.e. just 140 grams.
At the moment, we do not have details such as pricing and availability of this new LG V20 Pro. Also, we do not have any clue on whether LG plans to launch this in other countries such as India. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
