Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 may include a pop-up camera module similar to what we have seen in Vivo Nex and may be officially unveiled in September 2018. If you remember, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was officially launched a year back in September 2017. The information about the Pop-up camera and September launch comes from a leaked teaser of Xiaomi which shows a pop-up camera module similar to Vivo Nex along with a high screen to body ratio better than its predecessors — Mi Mix 2 & Mi Mix 2S and includes 09.2018 i.e. September 2018 mention without any specific date.
The teaser also includes a tagline of “The light of Mi” though it doesn’t mention the name of the device, we can safely assume it to be Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Reports suggest that Xiaomi reportedly filed for a patent related to for front camera in 2015. The patent seems to include smartphone pop-up selfie camera at the top of the handset along with a LED flash.
At the moment we have no clue about the specifications of the upcoming flagship device but we can expect it to feature premium hardware and hence it is safe to assume that Mi Mix 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Some alleged renders of the device have also surfaced on Chinese Social network Weibo which match with the leaked teaser today and show the pop-up camera. These alleged Renders also reveal a dual camera module at the rear but no fingerprint sensor at back suggesting an under-display fingerprint sensor.
As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
