Samsung India status report leaked: confirms Android KitKat Update for 5 devices in July

Two months ago, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will not be getting android KitKat.

Samsung India Update Status Report July 2014 Android KitKat

A leaked status report from Samsung India, confirms this. But we also have good news for owners of more recent Samsung phones.

According to the report which was “acquired from a insider from Samsung India”, five devices will be getting the Android KitKat update in July.

The devices which will get the updates this month are:

  • Galaxy S4 Mini GT-9190
  • Galaxy Grand 2 Duos SM-G7102
  • Galaxy Mega 5.8 GT-19152
  • Galaxy Mega 6.3 GT-19200
  • Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N750

If this is report is true, the updates could be rolled out any minute. You can of course check for the updates manually by navigating to:

” Settings >More> AboutDevice> Software Updates> Update” to see if an OTA update is available
