Blackberry after announcing officially that BBM for android will be released on 21st September, they were unable to release it on Google Play Store. Many enthusiastic users around the Globe waited for more than 12+ hours before Blackberry announced that it is pausing the global roll-out of BBM for Android and even iPhone.
Blackberry blames this delay on the leaked version of BBM for Android few days back. Even though the leaked version work for a small number of people and majority of people who downloaded the leaked app were unable to even use it as their email addresses were not white listed on Blackberry servers.
Those users on iPhone who have already downloaded the BBM will be able to use the Blackberry Messenger BBM on their iPhones, but no new users can now download or install the BBM on iPhone. But on Android as their is no official release, Blackberry will disable the leaked app on Android and it won’t work for anyone.
This simply looks as if Blackberry was not ready to release the BBM and hence have missed a deadline for this major release. At the moment, the delay seems indefinite as there are no indications about the new release date of BBM. We can just hope that Blackberry fixes out the issue and release the BBM for Android soon.
