Androidland, the Android retail store was first opened by the carrier Telstra in Australia in December 2011. Spice Mobiles in collaboration with Google has brought Androidland stores in India too by launching the first two AndroidLand stores in India at Koramangala, Bangalore and at The Great India Place Mall, Noida.

These stores are heavily themed for Android featuring Android “green robot” sculptures and offer comprehensive range of Android devices, services and accessories from brands like Spice, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Lenovo, Xolo, Micromax, Karbonn, LG and many more.

Features

  • Heavily Themed for Android Design
  • Actual live Android smartphones and tablets on showcase instead of dummy ones
  • Google Play Zone – showcasing most popular apps and games from Google Play.
  • Expert advice – AndroidLand store staff (Spice Android Experience Specialist) to help customers select the device and set it up, customize & provide apps recommendations.
  • Free Wi-Fi for visitors

We are not sure though that how the Androidland Stores will fare in India in terms of the sales or revenue considering the fact that customers in India look for the best deal or the best price for the device before buying  decision. We hope that these stores do offer competitive rates too for the devices. We will keep track on how it goes.
