As we know Google just released Android 4.4 kitkat along with the release of Nexus 5. If you are an Android enthusiast, you must have started wondering if your existing device will get an Android 4.4 Jelly Bean in future or not? Manufacturers have started announcing their plans about this upcoming update on the devices.
Sony has just announced the first batch of devices that will be getting the Android 4.4 Kitkat update. These devices are from Sony Xperia range. List of devices that will be getting this update from Sony are:
- Xperia Z,
- Xperia ZL,
- Xperia Tablet Z,
- Xperia Z Ultra and
- Xperia Z1.
The only problem with this announcement is, Sony has not given any time frame for the update which makes its difficult to predict when the devices will get the update.
Also, the update when starts to roll out will be in a phased manner, hence timings & availability for update availability for your device may vary depending on the market you live in or the carrier you are on.
