After stunning the Indian fans by discontinuing the sales of the Xiaomi Mi3 in the Country, the company has revealed it’s plan for the future.
And it couldn’t be better, the current flagship phone the Mi 4 will be launched in India before the end of the year.
That is not all, Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s India head of operations, also said in an interview with the IANS, that the Mi Pad tablet, and the Mi Band will also be released in India.
“The next few things that we will be launching are Mi 4, our flagship product; Mi pad, which is a tablet and Mi Band, a health band. Mi 4 will come to India towards the end of the year, post-Diwali in all likelihood,”
So our speculation no.1 was right. It actually makes sense, as the Mi 4 will be priced higher than the Mi 3, which would result in people opting to buy the latter because of it’s price tag. And, the company would have probably stopped manufacturing the Mi 3 by now. This could also be the reason why they have low stocks. The total number of Mi 3s sold in India was just 95,000. The Redmi 1S was launched a couple of days back, and will retail at an extremely affordable price of Rs. 5,999.
The Mi 4 was launched in China on July 22. It sports a 5.0″ 1080p display, and will runon MIUI v6 based on Android KitKat. The phone will be powered by a 2.5 GHz Quad-Core QualComm Snapdragon processor, and has 3GB of RAM. It has an internal storage capacity of 16GB, and supports USB OTG.
It has a 13 Megapixel Camera with Dual LED flash on the rear, and an 8 Megapixel front camera. The phone packs a 3080 mAh battery.
