Google has just announced that the Android One devices will start to go on sale in India’s neighboring countries of Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka in the next coming weeks. In addition to Micromax, Karbonn and Spice, Symphony Roar A50 will be the first Android One phone from Bangladesh’s own Symphony.
Google announced Android one in India few months back to expand the Android Smartphone base to entry level budget consumers of smartphones promising to provide the latest versions of Android directly from Google for these devices. Android one devices though was unable to create the amount of buzz or sales as expected for one reason or another. The latest Android one device at the moment is Android One device from Spice Mobiles specifically for Hindi speakers and we are yet to see its impact in terms of sales on the targeted customers.
At the moment, we don’t have more details on exact timeline or the pricing of these devices or manufacturers in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. We will keep you updated as and when we hear more about it. Stay tuned.
