Earlier today, Motorola launched the Moto E 2nd Gen (3G variant) in India.
Word at the launch, said that the 4G LTE variant would be coming soon.
Apparently the company is planning to launch the 4G phone in May this year. Motorola India General Manager Amit Boni, spoke to the press “We expect to launch the 4G version of Moto E (Gen 2) in India in the next two months”, Boni said. “We have not decided on the pricing, but my sense is that it will be sub-Rs. 10,000”
The 3G version powered by a Quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, has been priced at Rs. 6,999. So it is no surprise that the 4G version costs more, considering that it runs on a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.
But May is still a couple of months away, and loads of devices with better specifications will be heading to the market. So, its possible that the Moto E 2nd Gen 4G LTE, could ultimately lose to the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 2S and the ASUS Zenfone 2.
