The event that the company was teasing about, “HTC Americas Special Announcement” began streaming live with Aaron Baker and Jason Mackenzie, the President of HTC America discussing about the Uh-Oh plan
After a brief explanation about “HTC Uh-Oh”, the topic moved on to a AMA session, taking in questions posted on Twitter. And the one that everyone would be interested in, was actually the very first question of the session. (14:29 in the video)
Q: When is the One M9 going to be available in the US?
A: It will be launched in America on April 10th.

Mackenzie also addressed some other questions that HTC fans posted on Twitter. Here are some of the important ones:
Q1: When will the HTC One M7 (AT&T) get Android Lollipop?
A1: We (HTC) are wholly committed to it, and are working with carriers to get the updates out to the M7 and M8. It is currently in certification and will be released in late March or early April.
Q2. Is this (Uh-OH) exclusive to the US only or Worldwide?
A2: It will begin in the US, and will be available in more Countries.
Q3: Will rooted/unlocked phones be covered by Uh-OH?
A3: Yes.
Q4: Rumors about Snapdragon 810 heating problems in HTC One M9.
A4: We (HTC) are not going to launch a phone which has heating problems. We only launch the device when the quality and the performance is good.
Q5: What about stolen or lost devices?
A5: HTC Uh-O does not cover lost or stolen devices.
Q6: Do I need to trade-in the One M9 to get $100 off on the next HTC One?
A6: No, you don’t need to trade it in to avail the discount.
Q7: How much does Uh-Oh cost?
A7: It comes free with every purchase of the One M9 and new M8s. (refer to T &C)
Q8: My HTC One has a Purple tint, how do I get rid of it?
A8: Please contact HTC support to resolve this.
Q9: Will there be a Google Play edition of the M9?
A9: No
Q10: When does the $100 expire?
A10: It will be valid for 1 year after the purchase of the M9. (i.e month 12 to month 24 from the purchase date)
Q11: Can the HTC Uh-Oh protection be extended after 12 months?
A11. No.
