HTC has launched a new phone in India, but it is not the One M9 which was reported earlier last week.
Instead the company has launched the HTC One M9+ in the Country. Androidpure was at the launch event in Delhi, and here is all you need to know about the phone.
The HTC One M9 Plus flaunts a 5-2inch WQHD Display, which supports a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, and has a pixel density of 534 PPI. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It also has a finger print sensor.
The phone is powered by an Octa-core 2.2 GHz MediaTek helio™ X10 processor and 3GB of RAM. The graphics are handled by a PowerVR G6200 GPU. It has 32GB of on-board storage, and supports to 2TB of microSD storage.
The highlight of the One M9+ are the cameras. The phone sports a 20 Megapixel Duo-Camera with sapphire camera cover lens on the rear, with a Dual LED Flash, auto-focus, BSI sensor, f/2.2, 27.8mm lens, and supports 4K video recording. The depth sensor helps for better focusing in images.
The front camera is an HTC UltraPixel selfie camera with dynamic auto exposure, for better light in photos. It can record videos in 1080P resolution, and has a BSI sensor, ƒ2.0, and uses a 26.8 mm lens.
The HTC One M9+ runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, with HTC’s Sense 7.0 UI on top. It includes HTC’s EYE Experience software which offers a slew of editing effects, including Shapes, Prismatic and Elements. The HTC Zoe app and the new HTC One Gallery app are also available on the phone.
The M9+ has dual front-facing speakers, with HTC BoomSound and .1 channel Dolby Audio surround sound simulation. The two technologies combine to offer an immersive audio experience even without headphones or speakers. It offers 24-bit high definition audio when used with stereo speakers or headphones.
The HTC One M9+ has an all-metal unibody design, with curved metal edges and a dual-tone silver and rose gold finish. It has polished gold sides and a hairline brushed silver back.

The HTC One M9+ will have a cool accessory in the form of a second generation HTC Dot View case. It comes in different colours has some new features like through-the-case notifications, and a transparent back.
The company is also offering a one-year insurance package that will compensate consumers for any accidental or liquid damages, with every purchase of the HTC’s One M9+. It also includes a pick-up and drop service for all insurance related matters. This is similar to the HTC Uh-Oh Protection offered to HTC One M9 customers in the U.S.
It is also offering discount vouchers worth Rs. 15,000 from Myntra.com, with every purchase of the One M9+. Customers who buy the phone will also get 100GB of Google Drive storage space for free for 2 years.
India is the second Country to get the M9+, with the first one being China. The HTC One M9 has been priced at and will be available in two colours: Gold on Silver and Gold on Gold, with all major retailers from early May.
