The battle for entry-level smartphones refuses to die in the Indian Smartphone market. The latest entry in this entry-level budget smartphone segment comes from the Indian smartphone company Micromax in the form of Canvas Spark model priced at just Rs. 4,999.
Canvas Spark sports a 4.7 inch IPS qHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad Core Cortex A7 Mediatek MT6582M Processor and Mali 400 GPU along with 1 GB DDR3 RAM. In terms of camera, it comes with a 8 MP AF Rear camera with Flash and 2 MP front shooter.
In terms of storage it comes with 8 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable memory via MicroSD cards. The device is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

Micromax Canvas Spark is powered by a decent 2000 mAh Battery which gives 335 hours of standby time or 7 hours of talk time. It comes with support for Dual SIM cards. In terms of connectivity, it comes with 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi support.
Price and Availability
Canvas Spark will be available exclusively on Snapdeal and you need to register at Snapdeal if you want to buy, starting 12:00 pm on 22 April.
Considering that Canvas Spark comes with some great hardware under a budget of just Rs. 5,000, it may pose tough challenge to similar devices in this price range such as Redmi 1s, Asus Zenfone 4 etc. We will keep our judgement reserved unless we get our hands on the device itself.
