Gionee Smartphones, has announced that it is rolling out some OTA updates for the Gionee ELIFE E7, GPAD G5 and CTRL V6L.
They aren’t Android OS updates, but software updates to Gionee’s firmware, which fixes some bugs, and also adds some new features.
The Gionee ELIFE E7 has been updated to fix two major bugs: Random app crashes, and random reboots.
The Gionee GPAD G5 update is quite comprehensive. You can now get more fonts for your phone easily. The music player has been updated and now allows you to create playlists, and has a new lock screen widget. The device also has a new Information Management System, which allows you to manage notifications from Apps. The update also lets you also hide applications to protect your privacy.
Gionee Xender, Game zone , WPS office , NQ security, Amigo paper , Saavn, Boyaa texas poker,UC browser, Wechat, have all been updated as well. The update also fixes a bug related to Junk character in the incoming calls screen.
The Gionee CTRL V6L update fixes issues related to WhatsApp notification, lag during the incoming call pop, ROAMING icon not being displayed in roaming network, and lock/unlock/softkey sounds being heard during calls.
