Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Coolpad has launched its first devices in India.
The phones are the Coolpad Dazen X7 and Dazen 1.h
Coolpad Dazen X7
The Dazen X7 has an aircraft grade Aluminum unibody metal design, and flaunts a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED Display (1080 pixels), and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Cool UI.
It is powered by a 1.7 GHz true octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor, with 2GB RAM. The phone comes with 16GB internal storage, and supports up to 32GB expandable memory.
The X7 sports a 13 megapixel camera on the rear with an f/1.8 aperture, and an 8 megapixel front camera. A 2,700 mAh battery powers the device.

Coolpad Dazen 1
The Dazen 1 is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM and an Adreno 306. It has 8GB of internal storage.
The phone sports a 8 megapixel camera on the rear with an f/2.2 aperture, LED Flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. A 2,500 mAh battery powers the device. The Dazen 1 is a Dual SIM device which supports Dual Standby and 4G LTE networks.

The phones will be available exclusively via Online Retailer, Snapdeal from June 9. The registrations for the Dazen 1 begins on Snapdeal today, while the Dazen X7 will be sold via open sale.
What we were surprised with was, Coolpad’s bold, if not unethical move to openly challenge Xiaomi’s Redmi 2 with the Dazen 1.
Coming from a new entrant in the Indian mobile market, I think the Dazen X7 has not been priced correctly. The 16GB Mi 4 and the OnePlus One, with superior hardware are available for the same price.
