The Sony Xperia Z Android 5.0 Lollipop Update was rolled out a couple of weeks ago, which meant that all Z, Z1, Z2 and Z3 products were updated to Lollipop.
And now Sony has confirmed that it will be updating some more of its devices to Lollipop.
Android 5.1 Lollipop Update for Xperia devices:
The mid range phones, Sony Xperia M2, Xperia M2 Aqua, Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia C3 will all be updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Xperia M2 and Xperia T2 Ultra were launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and updated to Android 4.4 KitKat. The Xperia C3 and T2 Ultra were update to Android 5.0 recently.
But the Xperia M2 and M2 Aqua weren’t updated to 5.0, and will now directly be updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Android 5.1 Lollipop Update for Xperia M2, M2 Aqua, T2 Ultra, C3 will be released in July. Sony says that the update will be rolled out once the Xperia Z series have been updated to 5.0.
