Earlier today, we reported about the launch of Gionee’s 2015 flagship phone, the ELIFE E8.
The company also launched another phone today, called the Gionee Marathon M5.
The M5 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED Display, and runs on Android Lollipop.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek MTK 6735 processor, and 2GB RAM. It has 16 GB of internal storage.
The highlight of the Gionee Marathon M5 is the massive 6,000 mAh battery, in fat it has two 3,000 mAh batteries. In comparison, the M3 had a 5,000 mAh battery. The M5’s battery can be charged quickly, and is capable of reverse charging, that is, it can be used like a powerbank and charge up to two phones at a time.
The M5 sports a 13 megapixel rear camera, and a 5 megapixel front camera. The M5 is a Dual SIM device, and supports 4G LTE in both Sim card slots.
The Gionee Marathon M5 has been priced at 2,299 Yuan RMB, which is about Rs.24,000 or $370.
