If you think OnePlus hasn’t created enough hype for its upcoming flagship device, the OnePlus 2, you may be surprised by its latest move.
The company gave the phone to renowned YouTube video blogger, MKBHD, aka Marques Brownlee for him to review the device’s camera.
The OnePlus 2 has a 13mp camera with an f/2.0 aperture and laser autofocus.
According to MKBHD, the photos taken in in Automatic Mode are sharp, have good contrast and accurate colours. The phone’s camera app picked a balanced exposure which resulted in some great snaps. All snaps were taken in f/2.0 aperture which resulted in sharp picture clarity, although in low light conditions, the photos appear to be just okay.
The reviewer took most of the shots in just one focus, and it was taken pretty quickly, thanks to the laser autofocus.
The camera app on the phone which is still version 1.0, has some special modes called Clear shot, HDR, Beauty.
Images taken with clearshot look similar to automatic mode, but look sharper when zoomed in. HDR on the other hand offers a lot of saturation, which makes pictures look a bit unnatural. The camera also has Panorama image support and stitches images well.
Here is a side-by-side comparison of the images snapped by the OnePlus One,the Apple iPhone 6+, the LG G4, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the OnePlus 2.
