Yesterday, the Chinese OEM, OnePlus, had released an OTA Update which patched up the OnePlus One, to Cyanogen OS 12.1 (YOG4PAS1N0) much to the delight of users who had impatiently awaiting the new version.
But the joy merely lasted a day, as the company pulled the update from its servers.
Some users took to social networks, while many began to raise their pitchforks at the OnePlus forums. A moderator at the community, revealed that the update was pulled because it was buggy. In fact, calling it buggy is an understatement, it was disastrous.
What was supposed to be a “Stagefright” fix patch turned out to be a nightmare causing issues such as No network, Emergency Calls Only, Unstable mobile network, a flaky compass, missing quick toggles, video playback and AudioFX errors, third party camera apps not working, and Wifi connectivity issues.
The moderator claims that the buggy update, only affected 2% of users, but it remains to be seen what that the actual number amounts to. Hit the source link below to view the thread which details upon the bugs.
Even a change-log wouldn’t be so big, the list of bugs seems to be incredible. Never Settle for a buggy update.
