Motorola has launched the Moto X Play, as the Moto X Style in India.
The phone sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD 1440p TFT LCD Display, with a pixel density of 520 ppi, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Moto X Style runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and Motorola has promised that it will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon. The phone is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core (MSM8992) processor, with 3GB RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU. The device comes in two storage variants: 16GB/32GB, and supports expandable memory up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The phone features a 21 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detect Auto-Focus (PDAF), Dual LED Flash (Color Correlated Temperature), 4X digital zoom, 4K video, Slow motion video recording. The selfie lens on the phone is a 5 megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a wide-angle lens, a front-facing flash.
The phone has a metal frame and curved back and measures at 153.9 x 76.2 x 6.1-11.06 mm, and weighs 179g. The Moto X Style is backed by a 3000 mAh battery, and is TurboPower compatible which is touted to deliver 8 hours of battery life from a 15 min charge. The phone supports Dual SIM cards (Nano), 4G LTE cat 6 (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20, 25, 28, 40, 41), WCDMA, GSM/EDGE, Micro USB, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, features front facing stereo speakers with Smartboost.
The device is water repellant. The Moto X Style has been priced at Rs. 29,999 in India for the 16GB variant and Rs. 31,999 for the 32GB variant. The phone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart from 14 October midnight.
The Moto X Style will be available in two colours: White with a Champagne frame and Black with a Dark Grey frame.
