Microsoft has officially released its Arrow Launcher for Android devices.

Microsoft Arrow Launcher

The app was in beta for a few months, but it is now available for all users.

The Launcher is surprisingly good, though it doesn’t offer a lot of customization options. The main screen is where your apps are displayed, with the top row consisting of your favorite (most used) apps. There is a dedicated app drawer, which you can access from the dock.

Swipe from the left to display your recent apps, photos, etc. A second swipe from the left will take you to the widgets page.

And swipe from the right to see your list of frequent contacts, while a second swipe from the right will get you to the notes and reminders page.

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up a panel with important apps like dialer, messaging, etc, along with quick toggles. The bottom of this panel houses options to edit the page (homescreen), as well as a shortcut to the launcher’s settings. You can add folders to the dock and the panel.

Arrow Launcher supports third party icon packs, which you can download from the Play Store. You can also enable a daily wallpaper option, which will download the latest Bing wallpapers to your phone. You can add widgets using Arrow Launcher too, the only thing missing is support for Live Wallpaper.

The launcher also offers a bit of privacy, and lets you hide apps, which can be handy when you don’t want people snooping around your emails, etc.

You might want to turn off the “help us improve” option from the settings. And to enable the Widgets page, and the Notes and Reminders page, open the panel by swiping up > edit page > swipe to the page and click on the eye icon.
