Motorola has officially announced that it will be updating the budget friendly Moto E 2015, to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
A couple of months ago, the company had released a list of devices, which would be updated to the latest iteration of Android.
The Moto E 2015 was nowhere to be seen in the list, and unsurprisingly Motorola faced the wrath of its users, who slammed the Lenovo owned company for backtracking on its promise to update the device.
But that changes with the updated list today, yet it’s not all good news though. It appears that Motorola will be only be updating the Moto E 4G LTE variant to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and that too only in the following regions:
- Canada
- Latin America
- Europe
- Asia excluding China (2nd Gen)
So it appears that the Moto E 2015 3G will not be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Motorola seriously needs to rethink its customer support policies if it plans to sell budget devices.
