ASUS has launched its photography centric phone, the Zenfone Zoom, in India.
The phone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display with Corning Gorilla glass 4, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZenUI on top.
The Zenfone Zoom is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3950 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a PowerVR G6430 GPU. The device has 64GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot which supports up to 128 GB of expandable storage.
The phone is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery (non-removable) which supports BoostMaster Fast Charge, which can charge the phone from 0-60% in 39 minutes.
The phone is made with aerospace-Grade alloys, and measures at 158.9 x 78.84 x 5 ~ 11.95 mm and weighs at 185g.
The rear camera on the ASUS Zenfone Zoom is a 13 megapixel camera, touted to deliver a DSLR-Grade camera performance. It features a 10-element HOYA lens arrangement (4x aspheric lens, 4x glass lens and 2x prism lens), and 3x optical zoom. It supports up to 12x total magnification, optical image stabilization (OIS), has a dual-LED Real Tone flash and 0.03 seconds laser auto-focus. The camera’s aperture ranges from f/2.7 to f/4.8.
The ASUS Zenfone Zoom has physical shutter buttons for shoot, record and zoom. The selfie lens on the Zenfone Zoom, is a 5 megapixel front camera.
Sensors on the phone include an Accelerator, E-Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light Sensor and a Hall Sensor. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Bluetooth V4.0 , NFC, WiFi, GPS/GLONASS, USB, 3.5mm Audio jack.
The ASUS Zenfone Zoom has been priced at Rs. 37999 in India.
ASUS is also offering a special package called the “Ultimate Photography Solution” which includes A Tripod, A ZenFlash, and A Zenfone Zoom for Rs. 39999.
