Earlier today, we reported Microsoft is acquiring SwiftKey for $250 Million.
Well, the Redmond company and the keyboard developers have officially announced the same on their blogs.
And yes, as we predicted, Microsoft is going to integrate SwiftKey technology with its own Word Flow keyboard. But that should be no no threat to the Android app. That is no surprise considering that SwiftKey is available in 100 languages around the world, and is used by over 300 million users across Android and iOS.
This is what Microsoft’s announcement says:
We’ll continue to develop SwiftKey’s market-leading keyboard apps for Android and iOS as well as explore scenarios for the integration of the core technology across the breadth of our product and services portfolio.
