Alto’s Adventure, the popular iOS game is now available for Android devices.
It is an endless runner game, which was developed by Snowman games and ported to Android, by Noodlecake Games.
The game is often criticized as being a clone of Ski Safari. And you can see why, the gameplay of Alto’s Adventure, is quite similar to Defiant Development’s game. You ski downhill, jumping over rocks, grind on cables, and perform tricks like backflips (which give you a boost to crush rocks) and increase your score. You see where I’m getting at? The developer himself did mention that the game was inspired by Ski Safari but never did credit the original game, which we find unethical.
The same thing has happened multiple times on Android. Threes, a paid game was ripped off and released as 2048. The same developer ripped off Monument Valley when he released Skyward. Flappy Bird generated a thousand clones, and so did Candy Crush Saga, which itself is a ripoff of the classic game, Bejeweled.
But there are a few differences between Sky Safari and Alto’s Adventure.
Alto’s Adventure has stunning HD graphics, accompanied by a superb soundtrack to complement the ambiance. The artwork is magnificent, and the terrain is procedurally generated. What is more impressive is the day night system, yes the game has dynamic lighting, and weather effects such as thunderstorms, blizzards, fog etc. There are several missions to complete, and a few powerups which you can buy to give you the edge.
Collecting Llamas and Coins, jumping over chasms, and performing tricks earns you points.

The game has optional ads to let users continue their run, and a single In-App Purchase, for Double coins. This is actually a move to combat piracy. If you want a free game similar to Alto’s Adventure, you can play Ski Safari 2.
