LG G5 will have 4GB of RAM, a benchmark report on Geekbench has revealed.

LG G5 benchmark test

The upcoming flagship phone was found to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is the latest operating system from Google.

The LG G5 is rumoured to be powered by 4GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and the benchmark shows that the 4 ARMv8 cores on the MSM 8996 chipset, are clocked at 1.59GHz, instead of 2.2GHz which the Quad Core SoC supports. This suggests either a massively underclocked device (to throttle heating issues), or a possible second variant of the chipset.

The LG G5 has the model number LGE LG-F700S, and managed to clock 2248 in single core tests, and 5061 points in multi core tests.

Here is a recap on what we have seen from previous leaks and reports:

LG officially confirmed that the LG G5 will have an always on display. A leaked report claims that the device will have Dual displays, with the second one being a ticker display, 32GB of internal storage, a full metal design, and a 16 megapixel rear camera, with wide-angle focus, Dual LED Flash, and laser auto-focus, while the selfie lens is an 8 megapixel front camera.

The G5 will be backed by a 2800mAh battery (user removable), a fingerprint scanner and even an iris scanner. It will also have a hardware expansion option called a “magic slot” for camera/VR/audio or even a physical keyboard.

The LG G5 will be launched on February 21st at MWC 2016.
