Here is some incredible news that many of us would not believe that it’s possible to produce a decent smartphone for a price as low as $4 or just Rs. 251. But it seems it is going to be happen soon. Ringing Bells Smartphone is going to be launched today in India. We still need to find out more details about the same, but we already have all the hardware specifications of the device and it seems quite good.
Why you should stay away from Freedom 251
Ringing Bells Freedom 251 Smartphone will be the cheapest smartphone available anywhere in the world. We though still don’t have more details about the financing model, but we presume that the device is subsidized by the Indian Government.
Ringing Bells Freedom 251 Smartphone sports a 4 inch WVGA IPS display and powered by a 1.3 GHz Quadcore processor supported by 1 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it comes with 8 GB of internal ROM and MicroSD card support (expandable up to 32 GB).
It will be running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Ringing Bells Smartphone will sport 3.2 MP main rear camera and a 0.3 MP front VGA camera.
The device is powered by a 1450 mAh battery and will come with support for dual SIMs (3G GSM). It also comes with 1 year warranty and with a 650+ service centre support across India.

The bookings for the Freedom 251 starts at 06:00 hrs on 18th February 2016 and closes on 20:00 hrs on 21 Feb 2016. We still have no details on where the bookings will happen. Will update as and when we know more.
The Freedom 251 delivery will be complete up to 30th June 2016.
