Google could be launching something big in India, for music and video lovers. Yes, it appears that Google Play Music and YouTube Red could be launched soon in India.
A couple of reddit users from India, have spotted evidence which points to the imminent launch of the two services.
The first one, is Google Play Music, which has at least several abums, listed with a pricing in INR local currency.(imgur album from the redditor).
Try visiting this page, from your desktop browser and you should be able to see the same. Other albums and songs which we searched for, still continue to throw the “Unavailable in your Country” error.
YouTube Red, the Mountain View company’s premium service, which lets users browse and watch ad-free videos, as well as download them, and access to premium videos, could also be headed to our country, as the following screenshot by another reddit user shows.
The notification on the user’s phone is promoting YouTube Red, but you can clearly see that the person is based in India.
