Before the official launch of Xiaomi Mi 5S and 5S Plus, we saw numerous leaks and rumors for one more smartphone from the company i.e. Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Those leaks / rumors included alleged Renders, Hardware specifications of the device and more. In spite of all those leaks, Xiaomi made no announcement regarding the Mi Note 2 during their Mi 5S & Mi 5S Plus launch event in China. After that the leaks around the device almost dried up, though the most recent rumor do suggest a November launch for Mi Note 2.
Today a new Render of alleged Mi Note 2 is spotted on the Chinese social network Weibo which differs a lot if compared to earlier leaked renders of the device. This leak comes in the form of Render of the back portion of the device showing the black color back panel with a 3D glass design with dual cameras at the top middle similar to Mi 5S plus and the dual LED flash. The MI logo can be seen at the bottom. There is no Render for the front display of the smartphone with this leak.
Earlier leaked renders have indicated a different dual camera design with cameras located horizontally at the top instead of these with vertical alignment. Also looking at the leaked image by zooming it all around, it doesn’t give a sense of being genuine fully, but we can’t be sure. It may be genuine or fake or just photoshopped. Our opinion is tilted more towards fake, yet we are not 100% sure.
Based on rumors till date, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is rumored to feature a 5.7 inch 2K display along with 3D touch, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 along with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB/ 256 GB of internal storage. It runs on Xiaomi MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 Nogat operating system. It sports a 16 MP dual camera sensors at the back and a 5 MP front shooter for selfies. It is backed by a 4000 mAh battery along with Qualcomm fast charge 3.0 support.
