As we reported apart from the Honor 6X, Huawei has just announced a new Honor S1 watch at an event in China. The Honor S1 is more of a fitness band plus some features of smartwatch, but it’s not a full smartwatch. Honor S1 smartwatch can keep track of time like a watch and can also monitor the heart rate, calories, distance covered, pace and other vital data related to health. It comes with IP 68 waterproof and dustproof protection which means that the watch can stay up to 50 meters under water. It can also be used for payments such as Alipay.
The Huawei Honor S1 comes with a circular watch like design molded with metal material and weighs only 35 grams.
It comes with smartwatch features such as :
- Call notification: provide caller’s name, number and reject function display
- News Alert: without taking out your phone, you can view the messages, sms and other messages
- Sedentary reminder: When you sit for too long, it will remind you by vibrate up exercise
- Smart Alarm: shock on the wrist, you wake up quietly, without affecting the people around
The Huawei Honor S1 is priced at 699 Yuan (~Rs 7,000 or $104)and will be available for sale for the first time on October 25, 10 AM through Vmall, Jingdong and Lynx in China. At the moment, we have no information on whether the company plans to launch this device in other countries such as India or US.
