As we reported, Meizu has just launched another entry-level smartphone Meizu M5 at an event in China. The official specifications of the device matches with the leaked specs, though there is a 3 GB RAM variant too but no 4 GB / 6 GB variant as suggested by TENAA listing.
Meizu M5 sports a polycarbonate body with 5.2 inch 720p HD display with a pixel density of 282 ppi and is powered by octa-core Mediatek MT6750 processor along with Mali-T860 GPU. There are two variants when it comes to RAM i.e. 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM. Similarly, two storage options are available i.e. 16 GB and 32 GB.
Meizu M5 runs on YunOS of Flyme. In terms of camera, it comes with a 13 MP main rear camera with f/2.2 aperture with High-speed PDAF phase focusing and a 5 MP front shooter with ƒ / 2.0 aperture.
It is backed by a 3070 mAh battery. It is 8 mm thick and weighs just 138 grams. It comes with support for 4G LTE / 3G / 2G. It comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the front home button and comes with Meizu mTouch 2.1 with a response time of 0.2 seconds.
Meizu M5 is priced at 699 Yuan (~Rs. 7,000 or $105) for 2 GB + 16 GB variant while it is priced at 899 Yuan(~Rs. 9,000 or $135) for 3 GB + 32 GB variant. At the moment, we have no information on whether the company plans to launch it in countries such as India.
