We are just one day away from official launch of Gionee S9, with the launch event in China scheduled for tomorrow. Gionee has been teasing some of the features of its upcoming device on social channels such as Weibo and thanks to those teasers & some leaks including listing on chinese certification portal TENAA, we already know a lot about upcoming Gionee S9. This marks the first smartphone from the company with dual camera setup.
Even though we have seen leaked alleged real images of the device, yet we can’t treat them as official one. Today Gionee official Weibo account has teased out full renders of the upcoming Gionee S9 revealing the full design and build of the device including the dual camera setup. We can see the front camera with a LED flash at the top and home button with navigation buttons at the bottom. We are not sure if fingerprint sensor is integrated into the front home button or placed at back where the Gionee logo is. We can see volume rocker buttons and the power button on same side of the device.
Gionee S9 is expected to feature a 5.5 inch full HD 1080p display, powered by 1.8 GHz / 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage with expandable storage support. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. TENAA listing suggests that it comes with dual camera setup with 13 MP + 5 MP sensors and a front shooter of 13 MP for selfies.
As the official launch is happening tomorrow, we need to wait few more hours to get the official details including specifications and pricing of Gionee S9.
