Blackberry is expected to announce a new smartphone with QWERTY keyboard i.e. BlackBerry DTEK70 during the CES 2017 event. BlackBerry DTEK70 is rumored to be codenamed Mercury and we have already seen alleged leaked images of the device on Chinese social network Weibo sometime back. Apart from these images, Blackberry Mercury also appeared on benchmark portals such as geekbench and Gfxbench revealing some of the basic technical specifications of the device.
Today, a new set of images are spotted on Weibo which seems to be alleged renders of BlackBerry DTEK70 aka Mercury and gives us a good glimpse of the device from both front & back sides. THe leaked renders match with the earlier leaked image of the device showing the physical keyboard on front below with the display. At the back, we can see the big camera module along with LED flash and the big blackberry logo in the middle. The leak also indicates that it is backed by a 3400 mAh battery.
The device is rumored to sport a 4.6 inch display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system and comes with a 18 MP main rear camera and another 8 MP front shooter for selfies.
The device is already officially teased by the company via its official twitter handle.
