Here is some good news for you if you own ZenFone 3 Max ZC520TL and stay in India. Asus is rolling out an Android OTA update to users which adds support for Reliance VOLTE (India) which is basically the JIO 4G VOLTE support. ZC520TL refers to the 5.2 inch variant of Zenfone 3 Max smartphone, whereas the 5.5 inch variant comes with a model number ZC553KL. We have reviewed the ZenFone 3 Max ZC553KL model (Read Review) and we did faced some issues while receiving the Jio VOLTE calls, while the outgoing calls worked without any issues.
The update comes with a version number 13.0.2.4013.1.1.33 and brings the following features :
- Improve Camera performance.
- Improve system stability
- Add Reliance VOLTE(India)
- Add SOS call (India)
As you can see from the changelog above, it also adds support for SOS call for Indian users which is mandatory now for future smartphones that would be available in India. Just like any other OTA update, this will reach users in phases and may take a week to reach everyone. You can manually check for the update by navigating to: Setting >> About >> System Update.
