Reliance Jio is in no mood to relax and give some respite to other cellular service providers such as Airtel, Vodafone and Idea. The bloodbath in Voice + 4G data tariff started with the entry of Reliance Jio last year which disrupted the Indian Telecom market as Jio offered free voice calls for life and cheap 4G data at dirt low prices, compelling the competitors to offer similar pricing to their mobile subscribers. This ongoing brutal price war was expected to be settled a bit, once the Reliance Jio Dhana Dhan offer was set to expire this month.
Just before the expiration of Jio Dhana Dhan offer, the company is back again with new 4G UNLIMITED plans which offer unlimited 4G data (starting at 1 GB per day) for three billing cycles or 84 Days (28 days x 3). Under these new plans, the Jio subscriber can get 1 GB unlimited 4G data per day (128 kbps after 1 GB) for a period of 84 days for a price of Rs. 399. If you want more data per day, Jio offers a Rs. 509 plan that offers 2 GB unlimited 4G data per day (128 kbps after 2 GB) for a period of 56 days. Other plans include the existing Rs. 309 plan which now offers 1 GB unlimited 4G data per day (128 kbps after 1 GB) for a period of 56 days instead of the earlier 28 days. A new Rs. 349 plan is introduced which offers 10 GB + 10 GB of data for 28 days. As you are aware, all plans from Jio included unlimited Voice calls to any network including STD and Local.
Apart from these plans, some more expensive plans such as Rs. 999, Rs. 1999, Rs. 4,999, Rs. 9999 for heavy users are also available and come with an additional 30 days validity compared to the existing plans. Using all these plans, you can use your phone as Hotspot (tethering) and connect as many devices as you want to the hotspot. Earlier, there was a restriction of maximum one device that can be connected to the hotspot.
