Samsung Android Go phone leaked photos reveal that the phone does not run on Stock Android. Instead, the phone will run Experience UX, which is the custom Android skin used by Samsung.
However the phone will bundle the Go Apps from Google, like Google Go, Maps Go and YouTube Go.
It is nice to see Samsung’s custom navbar buttons on a low-end phone, but we need to wait and see if the company’s decision to opt for not using Stock Android, will defeat the purpose of Android Go. The light version of Android, was created to make phones with very little memory and storage, at super affordable prices. So, it will be interesting to see what Samsung has done with its own OS to make it run on low end hardware.
The Samsung Android Go phone leaked photos reveal massive bezels on the forehead and chin. It is understandable that the company cheaped out by not including an Infinity Display.
Earlier rumours suggested that the device sports a 5.0-inch Super AMOLED display, and will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 chipset with 1GB of RAM. The phone is said to come with 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,600mAh battery. The selfie lens is a 5MP camera.
The phone has a single rear camera which is an 8MP lens with an LED Flash. There is no fingerprint sensor, for obvious reasons. The device runs Android Go based on Android 8.1 Oreo, thought the security patch is reportedly December 5th 2017.
The Samsung Android Go phone leaked pictures tell us that the model number is SM-J260, and rumors suggest that it is reportedly called the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core. The device was previously spotted in many Countries in Europe, but there is no word yet as to where it will be launched.
