After loads of rumours and leaks, we finally have an official launch date for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, the 3rd generation of MIx devices. Before this official launch date, earlier rumours had pointed to a launch date of September 15 initially followed by October 15, both of which turned out to be false. The official launch teaser is released by Xiaomi Weibo handle in China which reveals the launch date of October 25 in China and suggests a high screen to body ratio close to 100% for Mi Mix 3 with almost negligible bezels at all sides. The launch teaser also confirms the sliding mechanism by showing the rear portion and front display separately.
The upcoming flagship device is already listed on Chinese certification agency 3C a few days ago indicating an 18W charger and the following models:

At the moment, we can only speculate about the hardware specifications of Mi Mix 3 though you can safely assume a Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM. The company has already confirmed a sliding mechanism for the device separating the front display and rear portion helping in achieve much better screen to body ratio. Coming to the existing Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 specifications, it features 6.0-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display (2160 × 1080 pixels) with negligible bezels on all sides except the bottom of the display, powered by 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU along with 6GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of internal storage and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) based operating system with MIUI 9 on top.
