A set of updates emerging from Meizu CEO Jack Wong, reveals that the next phone from the company will be the Meizu Note 9. He also reveals specific details about the phone including the possible renders of the device and major hardware specification. The images shared by the CEO reveal that Meizu Note 9 may feature a waterdrop notch display in a tall 19:9 aspect ratio.
The Meizu Note 9 has almost no bezels but has a small chin and a thin frame running around the screen. The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6150. We first thought it could be the Snapdragon 675 platform, but according to Wong, this is a new processor which has appeared even on Geekbench sometime back indicating an octa-core processor having the clock speed of 1.8GHz.
According to a partially-redacted photo shared by Wong, the phone comes with 6GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. The latter is probably the available storage, but that number is still pretty low in 2019. The Meizu Note 9 runs on Flyme OS based on Android 9 Pie and appears to have scored a whopping 170,000+ points on AnTuTu Benchmark.
The Meizu Note 9 will feature a 48MP camera, like many upcoming devices we have seen in the last few weeks such as Huawei Nova 4. The selfie lens on the phone is a 12MP sensor with a 1.12 µm pixel size. The device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
