The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT is available for pre-order in China. The device has impressed according to the fist official Snapdragon 855 AnTuTu Benchmark.
AnTuTu has posted the above picture on Weibo, which tells us that the new flagship SoC scored 371273 points.
The Snapdragon 855 AnTuTu Benchmark is quite a bit higher than the current generation processors.
Snapdragon 855 AnTuTu Benchmark vs Kirin 980 vs Snapdragon 845
According to the AnTuTu Benchmark Rankings, the Huawei Mate 20 along with the Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X, all of which are powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor sits atop the table with a top score of 306,608 points. The Kirin 980 however is only marginally ahead of the Snapdragon 845 powered devices such as the ASUS ROG Phone, OnePlus 6, Mi 8, Pocophone F1, etc.
It is worth noting that only the Mate 20 series has a score above the 300,000 points mark.
Qualcomm’s newest mobile platform is built on a 7nm process unlike the Snapdragon 845, which was based on a 10nm process. The Snapdragon 855 has a newer GPU in the Adreno 640. For reference, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT runs Android 9 Pie, sports a display 2340 x 1080 pixels, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Those specs pack quite a punch, but nothing we haven’t seen on the Snapdragon 845 series phones. This clearly indicates that the Snapdragon 855 Benchmark is more about the performance of the chipset, rather than the amount of RAM on the device.
