The Moto razr foldable Android phone has been leaked in several renders shared by Evleaks. Back to the future anyone?
This is what the device looks like. It’s a clamshell design which is very reminiscent of the original Moto Razr v3 from 2005.
The 2019 Moto razr foldable has a secondary screen on the outer shell, which acts like a lockscreen. According to XDA this could be a 600 x 800 pixels display.
So, you can see the time, date, notifications, and possibly even reply to messages and take calls. We’re not entirely sure about that button on the outer shell, is it a fingerprint scanner, a home button or does it open the phone? A selfie camera can be seen below the button.
Moving on to the inner screen the shell opens up to a 6.2-inch OLED panel with a large notch that houses the primary camera of the device. There is a large chin on the bottom which seems to house a fingerprint scanner.
In terms of tech specs it could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 or 670 processor, with 4GB/6GB of RAM.
Here is another Moto razr foldable phone render from Mobielkopen that shows that the rear camera on the phone. The blog says that the phone will be backed by a 2,730 mAh battery.
Motorola is hosting an event on November 13th, where it is expected to announce the new Moto razr foldable phone. Will this vertical foldable provide competition to the Samsung Galaxy Fold or Huawei Mate X horizontal foldable devices? We don’t think so given the rumoured specs.
