Lenovo could launch a phone with a stylus pen soon. That’s what a Moto G Stylus leaked press render hints.
Evleaks, who shared the image on Twitter, also confirmed the device’s moniker after some reports emerged that it could be the Motorola Edge+.
This does come as a surprise, since phones with a stylus are quite rare. The most notable ones are of course the Samsung Galaxy Note series.
But those are high end, premium flagships, and even the recently launched Galaxy Note10 Lite can be out of reach for budget conscious buyers.
The Moto G branding on the other hand is an affordable, wallet friendly series. And a stylus-equipped handset could likely do well in a possible sub-20k price range.
The Moto G Stylus leaked press render shows a large screen with a punch-hole selfie camera. The bezels are quite narrow apart from the chin that’s slightly larger. A power button and the volume rocker keys are visible on the right edge of the frame. A 3.5mm headphone jack can be seen near the bottom left corner of the device.
The stylus pen has a two-tone finish, and does appear to have a pressure sensitive tip. The other end of the pen seems like it has a couple of buttons, but they could just be raised pieces which lock the pen in place with a click-in mechanism.
While there is no information about the launch date of the phone, a recent Moto G8 leak suggests that the device could be announced during the MWC 2020 tech show that’s scheduled to be held next month.
