As expected, Xiaomi has launched Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition in China which is the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G. The Extreme edition is the third device in Redmi K30 Series, while the already launched devices being the Redmi K30 and K30 Pro.
Redmi K30 Extreme Edition Specs
The Extreme Edition sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 120Hz LCD with a dual punch hole screen having 91% screen-to-body ratio. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microSD card. It runs on Android 10 based operating system with MIUI 11 on top.
In terms of camera, it comes with Quad camera module at rear consisting of 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor along with an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it features a dual camera sensor with 20MP primary sensor along with 2MP secondary camera for selfies & video calls. In terms of weight, it weighs 208g and measures 165.3 x 76.6 x 8.79 mm. The phone is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
The device will support NFC and retains the infrared blaster & 3.5mm headphone jack. The Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition will be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and has a USB Type-C port on the bottom to charge the battery.
Price and Availability
In terms of price and availability, Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition will be available in colour options such as White, Blue Red, Purple and new Mint. The phone is priced at 1999 yuan (~US$ 280 / Rs. 21,500 ) and will be available in China from jd.com starting from May 14.
