Asus is set to launch the next generation of their gaming phone i.e. Asus ROG Phone III soon, which is evident from the official listing of the device on Chinese certification site TENAA. The TENAA listing reveals all the hardware specifications of the gaming phone including the official renders of the gaming phone. You can read our review of Asus ROG Phone 2 here and we hopefully get to review the Asus ROG Phone 3 soon after the official launch of the same.

Asus ROG Phone 3 Renders [Official]

The TENAA listing with a model no ASUS_I003DD reveals the official renders of the device as reproduced below. In terms of design, the new gaming phone looks almost the same as Asus ROG Phone 2 with a slight modification at the rear. While the ROG Phone 2 came with a dual-camera module having 48MP Sony IMX586 f/1.79 aperture 0.8μm pixel size, 13MP wide-angle 125° FOV f/2.4 aperture, the ROG Phone 3 render image from TENAA shows a triple camera module. But the specs table of TENAA doesn’t reveal the third sensor details. Probably it’s not a third sensor but something else and we are not sure about that.

ASUS ROG Phone III Specifications

Based on TENAA listing, Asus ROG Phone III sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED FHD+ display having a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels. The TENAA listing does not list screen refresh rate, but it’s likely the ROG Phone 3 will support a refresh rate of at least 120Hz. It is powered by a 3.091GHz Octa-core processor which probably is overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 which comes with a typical  2.84GHz.  The listing indicates three RAM variations with 8GB,12GB and16GB. Similarly, the listing indicates three storage variations of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. This clearly suggests the most premium variation will come with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

In terms of camera, the primary sensor gets an upgrade to 64MP from the 48MP in ROG Phone 2. The secondary sensor remains at 13MP.  It indicates an optical Zoom factor of 8. Unfortunately, it doesn’t list the details of the front selfie camera.

The listing also reveals that there is NO 3.5mm Audio jack and comes with the USB C type port, to be used both for charging & listening audio.

The listing indicates that the phone is backed by a 5800mAh battery which is almost same as the 6000mAh battery and probably the official launch will indicate the same 6000mAh battery. In terms of dimensions, it measures 171×78×9.85 (mm) and weighs the same as ROG Phone 2 i.e. 240 grams.
