Update: OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be launched on July 22nd in India and Europe. The device will be unveiled in a livestream set to begin at 7:30 PM IST.
OnePlus has begun teasing the OnePlus Nord 2 5G launch in India. A teaser video for the phone hints that the phone has everything that you could ask for.
The Chinese brand has also confirmed that it has partnered with MediaTek to build an exclusive AI-enhanced version of the Dimensity 1200 processor for the device. The chipset has been optimized to offer the best photography, display technology, and gaming experience. OnePlus calls it the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI.
A silhouette of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G can be seen in the teaser video, but it doesn’t tell us much about the design.
Leaked renders reveal that the device will be equipped with triple cameras. The front panel design seems to tally with the phone seen in the official video.
The lenses look similar to the one on the OnePlus 9 series, so we could expect Hasselblad cameras.
OnePlus recently announced that it is merging the codebase of OxygenOS with ColorOS, to improve the development experience of both operating systems. The OnePlus Nord series devices will be supported for 2 years, i.e. two major Android version upgrades, and will receive three years of security updates.
