ASUS ROG Phone 5s and ASUS ROG Phone 5s Pro launched
ASUS has announced two new gaming devices in its ROG lineup. These are the ASUS ROG Phone 5s and ASUS ROG Phone 5s Pro. The handhelds are very similar to the original ROG Phone 5 that made its debut in March this year.
ASUS ROG Phone 5s Display and Operating System
The ROG Phone 5s sports a 6.78-inches Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2448 x 1080 pixels, 144Hz Refresh Rate, 360Hz Touch Sampling Rate, and 1200 Nits Brightness.
The screen features an In-display Fingerprint Reader, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and supports HDR10+, DC Dimming, Delta E<1 Colour Accuracy, ROG Vision Aura RGB for Notifications, Lighting. Both phones run on Android 11.
ASUS ROG Phone 5s battery, processor, graphics
The ROG Phone 5s packs a 6,000 mAh battery that charges over Dual USB Type-C ports, and supports QC 5.0, 65W fast charging via the provided HyperCharge Adapter. The gaming handset is powered by a 3.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5Gmobile platform.
The high-end phone is equipped with an Adreno 660 GPU, and a GameCool 5 Cooling System to keep the thermal levels low while you play games.

The selfie camera on the front is a 24MP snapper. The triple camera setup on the rear of the ROG PHone 5s comprises a 64MP Sony IMX 686 primary lens with an f/1.8 aperture, 1.6um Pixel size, a 13MP Ultra-wide angle sensor, a 5MP Macro sensor, and an LED Flash

The ASUS ROG Phone 5s and ASUS ROG Phone 5s Pro have an ESS DAC 9280AC Pro, support for Hi-Res Audio, Dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The gaming phones have a variety of sensors including an Accelerometer, an E-Compass, a Gyroscope, a Proximity sensor, an Ambient light sensor and ultrasonic AirTriggers.
Both devices support Dual SIM cards with 5G + 5G, 4G VoLTE mobile networks, WiFi 6 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GLONASS/QZSS/BeidouS/NavIC/GALILEO/GNSS/ and GPS.
What are the differences between ASUS ROG Phone 5s and ASUS ROG Phone 5s Pro?
The ROG Phone 5s Pro has a ROG Vision rear matrix colour display. It also has some additional Touch Sensors on the rear panel.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5s is available in several variants: 8GB LPDDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, 18GB/512GB. The ASUS ROG Phone 5s Pro has a single variant, with 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The phones weigh 238g and measure 173 x 77 x 9.90mm. The ROG Phone 5s comes in two colours: Phantom Black and Storm White, while the ROG Phone 5s Pro will only be available in Phantom Black.
