OnePlus Ace Racing Edition with Dimensity 8100-MAX launched in China

OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition in China. Here is everything you need to know about the 5G phone.

OnePlus Ace Racing Edition

The smartphone sports a 6.59-inches Full HD+ LTPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz Touch sampling rate. The display has a 90.8% screen ratio, supports 97% NTSC/100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, has a pixel density of 401 PPI, and 600 nits brightness.

The phone runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12, and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX processor, with an ARM Odin MC6 to handle the graphics. The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition has 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The selfie lens on the device is a 16 megapixels sensor with an f/2.05 aperture an FOV of 79° and supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. The main camera array on the rear of the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition consists of a 64 megapixels primary lens with an f/1.7 aperture, 81° FOV, an 8MP 112° ultra wide-angle lens that has an f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP f/2.4 Macro sensor with an, FOV 89°, and an LED Flash. The primary lens supports Electronic Image Stabilization and is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps, and 1080p videos 60fps.

OnePlus has fitted the mobile with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67W SuperVOOC Fast Charging via a USB Type-C port. Connectivity-wise, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition supports 5G and 4G LTE mobile networks, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), MU-MIMO, 2×2 MIMO,  Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, Beidou, Glonass, GALILEO, and QZSS satellite networks. The phone weighs 205g, and measures 164.3 x 75.8 x 8.7 mm. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, a gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, and a pedometer.

OnePlus Ace Racing Edition price in China

OnePlus has priced the Ace Racing Edition 8GB/128GB model starting at RMB 1,999  (about Rs. 23,000) in China, while the 8GB/25GB trim costss RMB 2,199 (approx Rs. 25,000). The 12GB/256GB variant of the pone carries a price tag of RMB 2,499 (around Rs. 29,000). The mobile will be available in 2 colourways: Blue and Grey.
