OnePlus has released an Open Beta of OxygenOS 13 which brings the Android 13 Update for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

The OxygenOS 13 Open Beta update is currently available in India and North America. The company says it will release the update for users in Europe soon.
The update introduces an Aquamorphic Design theme colors, and Shadow-Reflective Clock that simulates the orientation of the sun and moon. A new world clock widget is available for the home screen, that displays the time in various time zones. OnePlus says it has updated its animation engine to Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, it has behavior recognition feature to detect complex gestures and provides optimized interactions.
OnePlus has added a couple of features to improve the user’s privacy in OxygenOS 13. When you capture a screenshot from chats, the OS automatically pixelates the profile pictures and names of your contacts, making the image safer to share online. The firmware will clear the clipboard data regularly to protect your privacy. Private Safe now supports Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to encrypt all your files.
The update adds a Kid Space in Health & Digital wellbeing. When it is active, the browser app switches to Kids mode for a child-friendly experience. It also supports Eye comfort to protect children’s vision.
OxygenOS 13 open beta includes performance optimizations including a Dynamic Computing Engine that improves the speed, stability of the system and enhances the battery life. HyperBoost GPA 4.0 offers a stable frame rate in games by balancing the power consumption and performance.
Users will need to have OxygenOS 12 C.63 in order to upgrade to OxygenOS 13 Beta Test 1 (OBT1). The Android 13 Update for OnePlus 9 weighs about 4.4GB to download, while the firmware for the OnePlus 9 Pro is around 4.5GB in size.
