Google is all set to announce its new phones next week, and even revealed the design of the devices ahead of the official announcement. But that hasn’t stopped the leaks from pouring in, this time the complete Pixel 8 specs have surfaced along with that of the Pixel 8 Pro.
Google Pixel 8 specs leaked
91Mobiles and Kamila Wojciechowska shared the information about the upcoming smartphones, and the Pixel 8 specs sheet indicate that the device will be powered by an in-house Google Tensor G3 processor, assisted by a Titan M2 coprocessor (security chip). The mobile will run on Android 14 out of the box, and sports a 6.2 inches Full HD+ Amoled display that will support 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports 2000 nits peak brightness, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and is home to an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Perhaps the most surprising element in this leak is that it claims that the software on the phone will be supported for 7 years. Currently, Google supports its Pixel devices for 5 years, with 3 years of Android OS upgrades and 2 years of security updates. If the leaked Pixel 8 specs sheet is indeed true, we are likely looking at 4 years of Android upgrades, and 3 years of security updates. There is also a chance that the phone could receive 5 years of Android OS upgrades, and 2 years of security patches, but we think that chances for this are slim compared to the other option.
The Pixel 8 will have 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The main camera array on the device consists of 2 lenses, with a 50 megapixels primary sensor, a 12 megapixels ultrawide camera, with support for optical image stabilization (OIS), electronic image stabilization (EIS), and an LED Flash. The selfie lens on the phone is reportedly a 10.5 megapixels snapper. Google has packed a 4,575 mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging via a USB Type-C port, and 18W Qi-certified wireless charging.
Connectivity-wise, the Pixel 8 will support 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS. The device has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus back cover and is rated IP 68 for Dust and Water Resistance.
Google Pixel 8 Pro specs leaked
The leaked Pixel 8 Pro specs sheet reveals that the flagship phone will be equipped with a 6.7-inches LTPO OLED that supports 1-120Hz Refresh Rate, has a maximum brightness of 2400 nits peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device has the same processor, security chip, and operating system as the regular model. The Pixel 8 Pro will come with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. As for storage the international variant of the phone will support up to 512 GB of storage, while the U.S. model supports up to 1 TB of storage.
While it has the same selfie lens as the Pixel 8, the rear camera array on the Pixel 8 Pro is more powerful. Google has equipped the device with a 50 megapixels primary sensor, a 48 megapixels ultrawide angle lens, and a 48 megapixels telephoto lens that supports up to 30x Super Rez Zoom.
The Pixel 8 Pro will reportedly pack a 5,050 mAh battery that will support 30W fast wired charging, and 23W Qi-certified wireless charging, USB-C. The smartphone has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back cover.
