Widgets are a simple way to monitor various things such as the date, time, calendar, etc. Sometimes you may want to check the time in multiple regions quickly. We show you how to enable dual clock in MIUI lock screen and home screen.
Note: The following steps will only work with the default MIUI themes.
How to enable dual clock in MIUI lock screen and home screen
1. Go to the Settings.
2. Scroll down to the Additional Settings.
3. Tap on Date and Time.
4. Scroll down the page and toggle the option that says “Dual Clock”.
5. Next, you need to set the time zone for the other clock. Tap on Second Clock, and select the Region (Country) that you want the time data for, and then pick the timezone for that region.
The dual clock widget will automatically be added to your phone’s lock screen. But we are not done with the tutorial. To enable the dual clock on your home screen, you will need to add a widget.
How to add dual clock widget to the home screen in MIUI
A. Go to your home screen and long press anywhere to trigger the widget picker screen.
B. Scroll down till you see the Clock option.
C. Swipe till the Dual Clock widget appears.
D. Place it on the home screen, and type on the check mark button to apply the settings.
Note: To disable the text label that appears under widgets, you will need to long press on the home screen, tap on the settings button in the bottom right corner, and toggle “Don’t show text”.
