In the sea of mid range Android tablets by different manufacturers, here comes another one from HP. In United States, HP has just launched a 7.85-inch Android tablet which sports a multi-touch IPS wide viewing angle display with a resolution of 1024×768. HP 8 tablet is powered by Allwinner A31 ARM Cortex A7 Quad Core Processor with 1 GB of RAM running Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) on top of it (even though the latest version of Android is Android 4.4.2 Kitkat).
In terms of camera, it features a modest 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera.It comes with 16GB of internal storage along with support for expandable memory using microSD card slot up to 32GB.
The device supports WiFi but not the mobile networks using a SIM card slot and hence comes with NO voice calling capabilities just like Google Nexus 7.
The tablet is powered by powered by a 3800 mAh lithium-polymer battery giving up to 7 hours of battery life.
